Ward Air has grown substantially
from the original single pilot and single aircraft operation started
in 1974 by Ken Ward. In 1993, under new ownership, Ed and Randy
Kiesel took over the direction of the company. Ed Kiesel, President
and Randy Kiesel, Chief Pilot both of Juneau continue the homegrown
traditions with their understanding of weather and water conditions
unique to upper Southeast Alaska.
Aircraft such as the
DeHavilland Otter, DeHavilland Beaver, or Cessna 185 provide the
flexibility for Ward Air to travel almost anywhere within Southeast.
These aircraft are equipped with amphibious and straight floats
and one Cessna is outfitted with skis during the winter months.
Our high standard of
maintenance and pilots with many hours of logged flight time, have
helped us to build an impeccable reputation throughout Southeast
Alaska. Personalized and knowledgeable professional flying service
has made us the locals' choice.
We offer complete service
to outlying fishing lodges. Airport shuttle service, luggage storage,
freezer facilities and transporting your "catch" are just
a few of the courtesies extended to you. The crew is well versed
on the logistics of travel and will be happy to help you with shipping

Travelers to Pack Creek
to see the wonder of "Bear Country" and those traveling
to US Forest Service cabins will appreciate our hangar storage,
